These stringed instruments are thought to be the ancestors of lute-type instruments such as violins and guitars.

I visited the Peshawar Museum in the Afghan border town of Peshawar, Pakistan, where I found a 1900-year-old relief depicting a short-necked lute.
It is a fact that urban civilization existed in this area 1000 years before the development of Western civilization.
